ABOUT YS FALLS IN JAMAICA
As one of the crown jewels of our island, YS Falls has been open to the public since 1992, but the property has been a working sugar cane farm since the 1800s. The main attraction is the seven cascading waterfalls that flow into natural pools. Visitors can explore these falls, take a dip in the natural spring pool, stroll through the gardens, and ride a zipline through the trees.
ATTRACTIONS
THE FALLS
There are many waterfalls in Jamaica, but the YS Falls continue to be a favorite destination for locals and visitors alike. You can spend hours admiring the falls and swimming in their natural pools. Lifeguards monitor the swimming areas to ensure the safety of visitors so you can spend the day worry-free. The falls are also relatively accessible with well-constructed pathways and steps.
THE RIVER POOL
Located at the base of the falls, this long, winding pool will wash all your worries away. The floor of the pool is made of smooth pebbles, and the depth is a comfortable four feet. Relax on one of the lounges located on the side of the pool before taking a dip to cool off.
ZIPLINE
See the falls from a whole other perspective when you go on the Canopy Tour! Zipline through the air as you soar 40 feet above the falls. Zip over the water surrounded by a dense, tropical jungle as you’re suspended high above spectacular waterfalls.
GARDENS
After you tire yourself out from swimming, go relax in the gardens. Purchase some light snacks at the falls and eat them amongst the tropical flora. Picnic tables are available to eat at, and you’ll love being surrounded by the colorful foliage.
RATES
The falls are open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Entry to the waterfalls costs $19 for adults and $11 for children. If you’d like to experience the canopy zip line ride, it is $35 for adults and $20 for children.
